"French afternoon"

On 12th November a “French afternoon” was held in the premises of our school. The small but cosy French classroom where usually about 15 students have their regular French classes, hosted nearly 70 participants, one of them being a French native speaker presently working in the company Iveco. No wonder that a demanding preparation had preceded – a lot of students  had prepared presentations, rehearsed songs and made French cakes. During the “French afternoon” the presentations about Paris, about Provence, about some singers and actors were shown. The participants also learned some French tongue-twisters and listened to loads of beautiful French songs. They had a chance to taste “mousse au chocolat“ , “gateaux et biscuits à la lavande“, “ tarte tatin“ and „quiche lorrainne“. The programme of the afternoon also included an inspiring practical presentation of French perfumes given by one of the guests, Mrs J. Nováková.
