Excursion to Switzerland
The last September week was the highlight for the students who study German since it is traditionally the time of an excursion to one of the German speaking countries. This year we spent a beautiful autumn week in Switzerland. The main destination of our trip was the town of Brig where we visited the local secondary school Spiritus Sanctus. What we admired most were awesome chemistry and biology labs equipped in a modern way where we watched some of the experiment carried out by the local students. We didn´t miss out on one of the most fascinating views of the Austrian longest iceberg Aletsch. Switzerland captivated us with magnificent landscape together with the magic peak of Matterhorn. We were also amazed by the charming ancient little towns. The town of Lausanne boasts with a newly reconstructed Olympic Games museum which we also visited. We also paid a visit to the famous French skiing resort Chamonix which is situated under the Mont Blanc. The cherry on the top of the cake was a visit to the local chocolate factory and now we know how the best Swiss chocolate tastes. All of us had a great time and brought home not only wonderful new experiences, but also lots of great photos.
